After a 2-1 loss to Crotone in Italy's second division, Torino has installed former Siena boss Mario Beretta as their new coach.

The club released an official statement - as posted on the society's website - exonerating former tactician Stefano Colantuono and enlisting the help of Beretta until June 2010.

"Torino Football Club wishes to communicate that it has exonerated Stefano Colantuono and his staff," the statement said. "And would like to thank them for the work carried out over the last few months.

"The new coach will be Mario Beretta, who will be presented to the media tomorrow at 12:00pm.

"The team's first training session under Beretta and his staff will take place at 3:00pm, with doors open to the public," concluded the statement.

Beretta was being mooted as a possible coach for the Bianconeri until the Tuscan society elected former Parma boss Albert Malesani to take over the club.
